Job Description
Reporting to the Corporate Controller, the Senior Accountant will ensure that revenue and expenses for all global Connectbase business units are recorded accurately, timely, and in accordance with regulatory compliance. You will participate in the monthly close process, oversee the creation of monthly financial reports, and analyze and report cost variances to budget and previous periods.
As part of your role, you will provide support for the preparation of the corporate tax returns, sales tax, 401k and other informational reporting. In addition, daily cash flow and collection monitoring will be under your purview. Beyond regular reporting, you will also be involved in special projects from senior management as we look for opportunities to improve the business.
Primary Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Preparation of Financials
- Prepare journal entries and reconciliations for various accounts - monthly, quarterly, annual.
- Own monthly AP, AR, prepaid expense and accrual process.
- Perform monthly and quarterly close activities supported by working papers detailing the breakdown for key items on the PL and BS reports.
- Assist in the preparation of compliant financial statements, including document preparation, data analysis, integrity validation and reconciliation processes.
- Assists in researching reporting matters, accounting principles, and financial reporting rules, as well as preparation of internal documentation to support due diligence, technical accounting memos, and internal controls.
- Perform periodic audits of contracts for proper revenue recognition in accordance with ASC606, including data entry and billing accuracy.
- Ensure accurate and timely review, approval and processing of US and international payrolls.
Consolidation Efforts
- Execute the consolidation process in NetSuite.
- Review monthly and quarterly currency exchange/flux analysis for both US and International entities.
- Support intercompany reporting and cross charge process in compliance with policy.
Audit Oversight
- Support the creation of the annual audited reports working closely with the company's external auditors.
- Drive Audit process by providing necessary documentation, guidance, and response, escalating only complex issues to Corporate Controller.
Process Improvement
- Participate in the ongoing development/establishment of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents for accounting policies and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of a variety of technical accounting analyses, policies, and procedures.
- Work closely with Finance and Accounting management to create relevant and timely reports on financial data analytics like the monthly flash report, key financial metrics, and actual spend against budgets/outlook.
Working Skills & Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance required.
- Public Accounting experience strongly preferred.
- 7+ years of experience in accounting role (experience with a SaaS business preferred.)
- Experience with accounting software (NetSuite and QuickBooks is a must) and MS Excel/ Word/ PowerPoint
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, laws, and regulations.
- Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and clients.
- Proven ability to manage competing priorities and handle numerous multifaceted financial matters and see projects through to conclusion.
- Proven ability to work in a multi-currency and legal entity consolidation environment in both small and large companies.
- Unwavering attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with management.
- Willingness and flexibility to undertake additional responsibilities as they present themselves and jump in as needed.
- Comfortable in an evolving business atmosphere where process and structure are continually being created.
- Experience in network/telecom industry preferred, but not required.

Compensation and Benefits
Competitive compensation based on your background and level of experience with the opportunity for career advancement in a rapidly growing SaaS company. Base Salary range from $80,000 - $100,000 plus bonus.
